All staff receive Health and Safety training and are aware of their responsibilities when working on client site – they are cognizant of their surroundings and act with due care and attention, and do not take unnecessary risks.
Compliance with KPS’ health and safety policy and procedures is a condition of employment.
AAMI and ISO are two major standards organizations responsible for authoring testing standards, quality management, sterilization, and labeling appropriately to assure safe use and optimal performance of the products used for the cardiac patient. KPS align our internal procedures to these published standards and regularly review to ensure we are abreast of all developments in this area.
KPS maintains at its cost the following minimum insurance coverage, from Liberty Surplus, an insurer with an AM Best “A” rating. The following are the limits of coverage carried by Keystone Perfusion Services, P.C.:
- Comprehensive General Liability $1 million per occurrence/$5 million aggregate
- Professional Liability (for each perfusionist) $1 million per occurrence/$5 million aggregate

In order to ensure the highest levels of patient care, we require at least two years of clinical experience for per diem and travel positions, along with all the necessary licenses and credentials for the specific position you would be applying for.
No. By submitting an application we’re able to collect your information and add your credentials into our system. You can tell us when you’re ready to start working. Keep in mind that you need to keep your credentials up to date in our system to remain ‘active’ so that we can offer you assignments.
Yes. We cover the cost of hotels for short term contracts or apartments for extended assignments.
